Steve Blake
Steve Blake returns to the program he helped establish. His playing career includes stops at Oak Hill Academy, University of Maryland and 9 NBA teams including the Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Lakers. Steve was a favorite teammate of the late great Kobe Bryant for his competitive nature.
Gregg Griffin
Gregg has dedicated 45 years to coaching basketball, including 30 years as a high school boys varsity head coach, with 17 years at Rex Putnam High School and 13 at Newberg High School. Honored as the 2021 Oregon State High School Basketball Coach of the Year, his career highlights also include coaching the Oregon team in the 2024 Northwest Shootout. A George Fox University alum and NAIA All-American in track, Gregg's legacy extends to his 40-year teaching career in Physical Education and Health and induction into multiple sports halls of fame.
Yusuf Leary
Yusuf returns to the sidelines for another season with E24. He brings a wealth of experience to the program as a former DI basketball player at Rutgers University, assistant coach at Rutgers - Camden University and most recently as head men’s coach of Roosevelt High School in Portland. Yusuf currently works for the Multnomah Education Service District and is the President of the Oregon Alliance of Black School Educators.
Omar Leary
Omar Leary had a decorated basketball career, earning All-State honors in high school before excelling at Northeastern Junior College as a 1st Team All-American. He continued his success at the University of Oklahoma, making two NCAA Tournament appearances and earning 2nd Team Big 12 All-Academic honors. Leary has coached at Western Oregon University and Roosevelt High School. Omar currently works for the Portland Remix in the NBA’s G League.
